The UN World Health Organization is to hold an Emergency Committee on Friday to consider whether the current Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a public health emergency of international concern. A decision which could trigger more international involvement, mobilising research and resources.
The latest Ebola outbreak has spread to Wangata a city of nearly 1.2 million people in Equateur Province in North West of the country.
This is raising concerns the deadly virus may prove tough to contain.
