Health officials have confirmed four new cases of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Last week, the country announced the end of its ninth Ebola outbreak.
The Huffington Post reports, Congo’s Ministry of Health was notified Saturday of 26 cases. Some 20 deaths have been reported in Beni, a city in the northeast province of North Kivu. Of the six samples analyzed for Ebola, four came back positive.
Authorities do not believe this outbreak is connected to the one in the Equator province.
